YouTube Studio app picks up dark theme just two years after YouTube was added

It does not follow the theme of the system however

YouTube introduced dark mode for its Android app since the summer of 2018. The YouTube Studio app, which provides tools for channel management, has been left behind. While YouTube Studio added SmartReplies last month, the app has remained crisp white – until now.

YouTube Studio’s dark mode is available now through the latest version 20.26.101. To enable it, you’ll need to tap your avatar image in the top right, then go to Settings and toggle the switch to enable the dark theme. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there is an option for the app to follow the theme of the system, which means you have to choose one or the other.

It’s a bit of a bummer that Google’s own app for YouTube creators still keeps things like the hamburger menu and a blacked out navigation bar when using gestures, but at least it’s a step in the right direction. . You can download the latest version of YouTube Studio from the Play Store or APK Mirror.
