Google launches YouTube Creator Studio app for iOS

 CREATOR-STUDIO

Following the release of YouTube Creator Studio for Android, Google has now made the app available for iOS devices. What is Creator Studio, you ask? Well, Google has finally created an all-in-one app hub for YouTube creators to access channel / video specific information. Basically, this is only useful if you are creating (or planning to create) YouTube videos.

Essentially, this app will provide quick access to video / channel analytics, comment moderation tools, YouTube related notifications, and the traditional video manager that is on the desktop site. In the video manager, you will also have the option to edit the information of your published video, such as titles, descriptions, tags, etc.

Along with the initial launch of the Creator Studio app came several other new features on YouTube, including supported downloads at 48 and 60 fps, and an upcoming ‘tip pot’ (currently in beta) that will allow users to tip their favorite designers. These new features are slowly rolling out to some partner channels, but apps for iOS and Android are available for everyone to download.

Here are the release notes:

The official YouTube Creator Studio app makes managing your channel faster and easier on the go. View your latest stats, respond to comments, and receive personalized notifications to stay connected wherever you are.

  • Monitor channel and video performance with easy-to-use analytics
  • Filter and respond to fan comments
  • Customize push notifications so you can stay on top of what matters most to you
  • Update your video details and settings

As mentioned above, this app won’t do much unless you are a YouTube creator, but if you are, it will be very useful. YouTube Creator Studio for iOS from Google is available for free from the App Store and compatible with iPhone and iPod touch.
